What the worn path means

The map shows one way in. The ground shows another.

The intended way

Every space comes with a designed path — an entrance, a flow, steps laid out in advance for how people are supposed to move through it.

The used way

People don't follow it because it's correct. They follow it because it's easiest. If a shorter route exists, they'll take it — approved or not. What structure really means

What the worn path means

A path that wears into the ground without being built wasn't planned. It's feedback that arrived without being asked for.

By the time someone notices it, it's already the one everyone uses.
